Autumn miniature polymer clay dollhouse items

Well the weather has certainly taken a cold turn, it is feeling so much cooler lately so Autumn has definitely arrived. I was hoping we'd have some late summer/early Autumn warm sunshine but it doesn't seem likely at the moment. Nevermind, instead I have been keeping warm indoors and getting my Autumn miniatures made. I've got a bit behind with my miniature making due to two holidays I've been lucky enough to go on recently. With all the preparation for the holidays and actually being away my miniatures have been far and few between. Well it is back to work now and I'm hoping to devote more time than ever to making some more miniatures and also getting my Christmas items ready. In the photo above you'll see my latest creations handmade from polymer clay. There are a few little pumpkins, a pumpkin candy display, a black cat teapot and a tree man (who isn't quite finished yet but will have a lovely head of leaves added to the top). I will be putting some of these items up for auction on my ebay site later today (just look for the seller:fizzyclaret to find them). My favourite item here is the tree man (even if he is only half finished) as he looks so grumpy. I'm going to make a few more trees to keep him company I think.

Miniature witch pumpkin teapot

A cute Halloween creation I came up with yesterday. I love scarecrows and thought I'd incorporate the scarecrow look into my pumpkin witch teapot. This item has been completely handsculpted from polymer clay and then decorated with acrylic paints for extra detail.

This item is available in my etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/fizzyclaret?ref=si_shop

Peacock heart wedding cake topper

These wedding cake toppers are my latest designs. Last night I went to bed and couldn't sleep for ages as I had so many images and ideas for new art pieces running through my mind. I must remember to keep a note pad and pen by the side of the bed as half the time I wake up in the morning and all the ideas are long forgotten. This time I managed to hold onto the new idea and the peacock heart cake topper is what I've come up with. I love the big colourful tails on peacocks and have used this as inspiration for the colourful tails I have here. This cake topper could be done in so many new and exciting colours and I can'r wait to experiment with it. I'm thinking of making a gothic style cake topper next with some darker colours and bright red roses. These cake toppers are listed for sale in my etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/fizzyclaret?ref=si_shop please stop by and take a look for more photos from different angles.

I haven't forgotten the giveaway - I'm still working on a few ideas for what I will come up with and hope to have some news here very soon :)

1:48 scale dollhouse furniture and dolls

Here is my latest addition to the quarter scale dollhouse world. I have created some lilac rose polymer clay garden seating and a pale green mount board wardrobe with orange rose detailing on the front. The little rabbit dolls go perfectly with the furniture. The lilac rose seating would look lovely in a miniature conservatory. All items will be available in my ebay shop this evening http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OOAK-MINIATURE-1-48-SCALE-DOLLHOUSE-LILAC-ROSE-GARDEN-BENCH-BY-FIZZY/350826323032?ssPageName=WDVW&rd=1&ih=022&category=2461&cmd=ViewItem#ht_617wt_958.

I'm hoping to be able to make some more pieces to match these very soon and also hoping to make some miniature furniture for a giveaway. If you'd be interested in winning some miniature furniture in the giveaway all you have to do is google plus this blog or leave a comment to say you are interested. I'll have some more details of the giveaway within the next few days and some photos of what you will have a chance to win.

English rose peacock wedding cake topper

I spent the day sculpting yesterday and came up with my latest wedding cake topper. It has a very summery English rose look about it and I have to say it is my favourite I have made simply because I love the colours so much. It's very romantic and softly coloured and would look spectalcular on a wedding cake. I have just put it into my Etsy shop so feel free to come and take a look https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/155715893/fairytale-wedding-cake-topper-2-peacocks?ref=shop_home_active.

While I was in the wedding mood I created a treasury on Etsy too which features some beautiful rustic wedding items from dresses to confetti. there is a lot of burlap themed items which I think look stunning and give a lovely country chic feel to a wedding. To look at the treasury just click this link https://www.etsy.com/uk/treasury/MTA4NjIxMjN8MjcyMjEyOTMyNQ/rustic-summer-wedding?ref=pr_treasury

Autumn wedding cake topper with peacocks

I have been busy sculpting this weekend and have created my latest peacock wedding cake topper. I'm still creating with an Autumn theme in mind and have decided to go with the lovely golden oranges, reds and copper tones that Autumn gives us. This wedding cake topper is a one of a kind piece so you could be sure you'd have something unique for your wedding cake. This time I made the door in the shape of a church door instead of the usual little round doors that I usually create. It is currently for sale in my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/fizzyclaret?ref=si_shop so feel free to stop by and take a look. I hope you like it!

Autumn Halloween pumpkins

Well it feels like I've been away from my miniatures for an eternity and I'm finally getting ready to start working again. In the last few weeks I have moved house and I completely underestimated how much work is involved. We decided to move everything ourselves by hiring a smallish van. BIG MISTAKE! There was so much furniture to move that after the first two trips my knees were creeking unbearably and I felt incredibly tired and stressed with it all. Well luckily that was two weeks ago now and I'm now settling into my new place and getting things organised ready to start working again. My two cats haven't adjusted as well though. They skulk around the house and jump at every creek and bump the house makes (it's a lovely 1930's build). There seems to be many other cat lovers around here too as many cats have curiously wondered into the garden to say hello, much to the annoyance of my two. It's been a very busy time and not only have I moved house but have also undergone surgery this week which has rendered me unable to walk very far. It's going to take a few weeks before I get back to normality but I'm hoping that making my miniature furniture will take my mind off that. We've only just broken into summer and already I'm thinking ahead to the Autumn (my favourite time of year) and the wonderful colours that go with the Autumn months. The golden and red leaves, bright orange pumpkins, bonfires, Halloween, hot baked potatoes and sticky toffee apples...etc my mind is awash with all the wonderful things Autumn has to offer that keeps me inspired during my work. I've recently made a new batch of miniature pumpkins which you can see in the photo and soon they will be for sale in my Etsy shop and on ebay.

Please feel free to leave a comment or just to say hello! Would love to hear from other miniature enthusiasts :)
